THE RHINO

THE RHINO

A new symbol for the next chapter.

The elephant has had more than 150 years. Meet the emblem built for strength, thick skin, and a country our children can inherit.

Circular seal: rhinoceros head before the American flag, ringed with United States of America and Republican Party

🇺🇸 Proposed · Not official

Meet the RHINO. 🦏

I’m proposing a new symbol for the next chapter of the Republican Party— not a punchline, not a pejorative, but a standard: Republican in principle. Republican in action. Accountable to the people.

📜 From cartoon to tradition

How the elephant got here

The elephant became popular through Thomas Nast’s political cartoons— especially “The Third-Term Panic,” published in Harper’s Weekly in 1874.

It depicted the Republican vote as a powerful animal frightened toward disaster amid controversy over a possible third term for President Ulysses S. Grant. Repeated use made the elephant recognizable. Republicans eventually embraced it.

A cartoon became a tradition. 🇺🇸

That tradition earned its place. But traditions can evolve—when the moment calls for a clearer signal of who we are and what we expect from those who lead.

🦏 Nature’s design brief

Why the real rhinoceros fits

For the Republican Party I want to see, the rhino is a better fit. Not soft. Not performative. Built for pressure—and for purpose.

  • Strength with purpose

The resolve to defend constitutional rights and hold government accountable—power aimed at principle, not ego.

  • Thick skin

Leaders who can take criticism, answer hard questions, and keep their promises under pressure. Armor for the mission—not for the feelings.

  • Forward momentum

The determination to confront problems head-on and deliver results. Charge the problem. Don’t circle it for applause.

  • Independent resolve

Rhinos don’t run with the herd for comfort. They stand their ground when it counts—loyal to duty, not to fashion.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Heart of the design

Family belongs at the center

Look at the family in the center. That’s the heart of this design. The parents and children represent what that strength should serve:

  • Safe homes
  • Opportunity
  • Personal freedom
  • A country our children can inherit with confidence

The family belongs at the center of the picture—and at the center of our priorities.

🎨 Colorways

Same resolve. Two hides.

Black for the night watch. White for daylight resolve. Strength and family—each in a colorway ready for flags, merch, and the next conversation.

⚡ Reclaim the word

About those “RINO” jokes

Yes, I can already hear them. Let’s meet them with a clear standard— not a slur, not a shrug, but a line in the sand.

Republican in principle. Republican in action. Accountable to the people.

For too long, “RINO” has been used as a tribal insult—sometimes fair, often lazy. This emblem flips the script: the real rhino stands for thick-skinned fidelity to the Constitution, results over rhetoric, and leaders who answer to voters—not to cliques.

A new logo should come with renewed expectations for everyone who stands behind it. Wear the badge? Live the standard.

Strong enough to stand firm.

Responsible enough to protect the future.

This is my proposed replacement logo for a new Republican Party.

Keep the elephant—or welcome the rhino?

Tell me why. Share this design. Start the debate America deserves— about symbols, standards, and what the next chapter should demand.
